Proportional Deduction Rules

  1. If the Rate Type in the Proportional Deduction Rule is set to: 
    1. Salary/min 
    2. Half Day Salary
    3. Full Day Salary
  2. Salary adjustment occurs during the payment period, the deduction will be calculated proportionally using the same rule. Example: 
    1. Calculation Period: Per Day
    2. Deduction:  Late Arrival
    3. Current Salary:  RM 5,500
    4. New Salary: RM 6,000 Effective 16/01/2026)
    5. Payment Type: Monthly
    6. Work Days/Month: 26
    7. Work Hours/Day: 8 
    8. Shift Time= 08:00: 17:00
  3. Example of Fingerprint Scan data and Late Deduction computation:

    1. 03/01/2026 Sign In 08:08
      1. System will not deduct for Lateness because it is within the grace period of 10 minutes.
    2. 11/01/2026 Sign In 08:12
      1. (12-10) x ((RM 5,500 /26) /8  = 2 x 26.44 = RM 52.88
    3. 24/01/2026 Sign In 08:13
      1. (13-10) X ((RM 6,000/26)/8 = 3 X RM28.85 =  RM 86.54
    4. 30/01/2026 Sign In 08:27
      1. (RM 6,000/ 26)/2 = RM 115.38
    5. 31/01/2026 Sign In 08:33
      1. System will deduct a Fixed rate of RM 200
    6. Total Late Deduction for January:
      1. RM 52.88 + RM 86.54 + RM 115.38 + RM 200 = RM 454.80

📢 Important Note:

The system will compare the minutes the employee was late to the tiered payment deduction rule and calculate the deduction according to the settings of that tier.
