Prevent Fake GPS eCheck-in

The system supports Fake GPS (Mock Location) detection for employee check-in via mobile eCheck-in, helping ensure that employees check in from the correct branch location as defined by the organization.

This feature prevents location spoofing and blocks check-ins from unauthorized locations.

  • If Fake GPS usage is detected, the system will not allow check-in and will immediately display a warning message to the employee.
  • This feature is supported on mobile applications only (iOS and Android).

It has been tested with popular Fake GPS applications and can effectively prevent Fake GPS usage on mobile devices.


Remark:

  • Check-in via Desktop (web check-in) cannot detect Fake GPS.

  • To allow mobile check-in only (eCheck-in – Only Mobile), go to:

    Preferences > Account > Setting

    Select the checkbox to allow check-in via mobile devices only.
