Overtime Compensate (Replace) to Leave Hours
Compensate Leave is a function that allows employees to request the Overtime hours to be converted into Compensatory/Replacement Leave Hours.

The Compensatory Leave is an Add-On function.
💬 Note
If an employee works beyond their normal working hours, including work performed on a Public Holiday, the system can be configured to convert the excess worked hours into Compensatory/ Replacement Leave instead of being paid as Overtime.
To enable this function, the following steps must be completed:
- Create a new Leave Type and designate it as Compensate Leave.
- Add the Compensatory Leave type to the employee's profile.
- Submit an Overtime request using Compensate Leave as the OT Type)..
***In the employee's Shift Schedule Settings, the Submit OT Request must be checked***
Step 1: Create a Compensate Leave Type
- Go to Preferences.
- Select Employees.

Click Leaves.

- Click + Add.
- Enter a Leave Name.
- Select Compensate Leave under Leave Type field.
- Tick the Branch checkbox, if you would like this Leave entitlement to be assigned to employees under the selected branch.

Configure other Leave Settings as required and click Save.

Step 2: Add the Compensate Leave Type to the Employees
- Navigate to Employees tab.
- Open the employee profile and select Leaves.
- Add the Compensate Leave type.

The system will display the Leave Allowance starting at 0 days.

SStep 3: Submit an Overtime Request using Compensate Leave
- Go to the Requests tab.
- Select Overtime.

Click + New Request.

- Select a Company., Employee OT Date, Start Time and End Time.
- In the OT Type dropdown, select Comp.Leave (OT1.0).
- In the Comp.Leave Name field, select Replacement Leave.
- Add Remarks and attach supporting documents.

Click Submit.

🚩 Rules: Rules for Converting Overtime to Compensate Leave
- The system only allows submission of Overtime/Compensate Leave requests for past dates.
- Requests for current or future dates cannot be submitted.
- Employees may submit other OT Type (HRP 1.5, HRP 2.0, HRP 3.0, ORP 0.5, ORP1.0, ORP 2.0) on the same day, together with a Compensate Leave Request.
Step 4: View Details in Timesheet
Once an Overtime/Compensate Leave Request is Approved, the Timesheet will display the Approved Compensate Hours under Comp Leave Hours.

Step 5: Check Employee's Leave Balance
Once the Compensate Leave Request is Approved, the employee's leave balance will be updated immediately.

The pricing for the "Convert Overtime Hours to Leave Days" feature depends on the number of employees in your package and will procure according to your billing cycle.
