Non-Shift Employees

Employees without an assigned Shift Schedule will follow the default Calendar for Holidays and Overtime Rules, which can be configured by the admin under Calendar and Overtime Rules in the Preference tab.

🔍  Note

When an employee without a Shift Schedule submits an Overtime request, the system will allow the employee  to select the applicable Overtime Rate Type based on the default Overtime Rules.

Employees will observe Weekly Rest Days and Public Holidays according to the default Calendar.

Example:

Employees without Shift Schedules follow the default Overtime Rules and Calendar as illustrated below.

🏷️ Case 1:

Overtime on Normal Working Day

An employee submits an Overtime Request on 16 December 2025, from 17:00 to 19:00, for a total of 2 hours.

  • The system checks the Calendar and identifies that 16 December 2025 falls on a Tuesday, which is a Normal Working Day and not a Public Holiday.
  • Therefore, based on the default Overtime Rule, overtime on a Normal Working Day is calculated at 1.5 times the normal Hourly Rate (HRP 1.5).

🏷️ Case 2:

Overtime on a Weekly Rest Day

An employee submits an Overtime Request on 21 December 2025.

  • The system checks the Calendar and identifies that 21 December 2025 falls on a Sunday, which is a weekly Rest Day.
  • Therefore, based on the default Overtime Rules, overtime on weekly Rest Days  will follow the configured rates, such as ORP 0.5/1.0 or HRP 2.0, depending on the company's Overtime Setup.
